Alana has spent years learning what an Australian sapphire will give you if you read it properly. She cuts every stone sold here herself, in the workshop on our Inverell, NSW property, a short walk from the wash it came out of.
From our own ground in Inverell
Everything begins on the property at Inverell, in the New England sapphire fields of New South Wales, Australia. The rough is dug, washed and hand sorted on site. No parcels are bought in and nothing is sourced through a dealer, so we can tell you exactly where any stone came from.
Australian sapphires run deep blue through teal, green, gold and parti colour, and the best of them only reveal themselves once a window is cut.
Cut on site
Each stone is studied before the wheel touches it. Alana orients the rough to the colour rather than to the largest possible weight, which sometimes means a smaller finished stone with far more life in it.
Every finished gemstone is photographed as it is, without treatment or retouching, and leaves with its own certificate of authenticity.
